Features

Custom-fitted, utility concealment solution allotting you an exact system to satisfy your individual project’s needs.

Uniquely provides a completely, custom fabricated system tailored to the exact specifications of each and every application! Our Soffi-Steel® System is offered in:

  • A choice of materials: 24, 22, 20, 18, 16, and 14 Gauge Cold rolled steel (CR) or .050 Aluminum (for applications in which corrosion is a concern)
  • Numerous finishes: Zinc-Galvanized Paintgrip ASTM A653-G90U (treated for painting and ready to accept such finish), Stainless Steel with #4 Finish, Primed, and Factory Painted Powder Coating Finish (Standard/Custom colors available)
  • Multiple design profiles: L-Shield, U-Shield, J-Shield, Crown Molding Shield, Half Moon Shield, in addition to a Slope Top Design that effectively eliminates the blunt edges.
  • A variety of sizes: Dimensions ranging between 2 ¾” – 60” in up to 10’ lengths

Our interior soffit system provides industry professionals with an extraordinary building product that will also satisfy many diverse construction requirements.

Initially designed for high-security purposes as required by institutional facilities, the Soffi-Steel® System’s clean design and durability also make it perfect for residential, commercial, and educational use, especially where the aesthetics of the shield are equally as important as its function. The unique “reverse curvature” interfacing between the shield clips and the soffit cover renders the system virtually irremovable without the proper tooling. In addition, our Soffi-Steel® System features the unique “CON-SEAL-IT™” sealant-retaining groove. This assures the appropriate amount of sealant will be held in place, eliminating gapping caused by substrate inconsistencies while providing a tightly-sealed, streamlined system.

Benefits

The popularity of the Soffi-Steel® System is linked to its unique and innovative design. The special design flexibility of our Soffi-Steel® System is demonstrated as it easily adapts to both retrofit and new construction applications along with all types and combinations of exposed, unsightly utilities!

As simplistic as it is flexible to install, our utility enclosure system also provides the most secure, protective covering available. Engineered with maximum design flexibility in mind, our Soffi-Steel® System requires few standard installation parts while field fabrications are easily completed with common contractor tools. The installation process is a nearly effortless and minimally intrusive task; which more importantly, saves valuable time lowering your project costs.

Unlike wood, drywall, or competing plastic and aluminum pipe covering systems, our durable steel system has a melting temperature in excess of 2000° Fahrenheit, offering unmatched protection! Our Soffi-Steel® System has undergone rigorous laboratory testing and has been awarded Factory Mutual Approval as a protective shield cover for the concealment of BlazeMaster®, Victaulic Company FireLock™, KT Plastics LLC, and Viking Plastics LLC CPVC Sprinkler System Pipe. In addition, our system far exceeds Underwriters Laboratories Inc. listing protection requirements of lay-in panels or tile (with a density greater than 0.35 psf). Our interior soffit system has also achieved recommendation and appears in the NFSA’s Fire Sprinkler Retrofit Guide.

To date, we are currently in the process of adding further credentials to our Soffi-Steel® System and have begun the testing and review processes that are required to obtain UL Listing and MEA Approval in the City of New York.

Every purchase of our Soffi-Steel® System includes a 10-Year limited warranty, providing you further peace of mind.
